An APC banner promising free bean cakes (akara) was spotted somewhere in Edo state.
On the banner which was proudly displayed at a popular akara spot, there was an APC flag with an offer of ‘free akara for all’.
Due to reports that APC was offering the akara to voters in order to sway their votes in favour of Godwin Obaseki (the party’s flag bearer in the upcoming gubernatorial elections), a PDP enthusiast identified as Demola Olanrewaju, decided to visit the akara spot.
According to Olanrewaju’s findings, the akara spot may not be affiliated with APC.
